Love Marriage

YAY. 1 KOREAN DRAMA DOWN.
Watching 'Hilary and Jackie' now.

I survived!

I dug out my ELLE magazines today and started reading. Adib came over today to do a CSS template for my wordpress while I read my magazines and played Critter Crunch on his iPhone.

It is so sickening that even today, Mysoju.com have yet to upload the last episode for Love Marriage. However, Miss Ong recommended me this movie called Hillary and Jackie.

From Wikipedia

The film is divided into two sections, the first telling events from Hilary's point of view and the second from Jackie's. It opens with Hilary and Jackie as children being taught by their mother to dance and play musical instruments, the cello for Jackie and the flute for Hilary. Jackie does not take practicing seriously at first, but when she does, she becomes a virtuoso, quickly rising to international prominence. Marriage to pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim follows. Hilary, on the other hand, plays in a community orchestra and marries Christopher Finzi, the son of composer Gerald Finzi. The film, though focused primarily on Jacqueline, is ultimately about the relationship between the two sisters and their dedication to one another; to help Jacqueline through a nervous-breakdown, Hilary consents to Jacqueline having an affair, in the interest of therapy, with her husband.

The last quarter of the movie chronicles in detail the last fifteen years of Jacqueline's life, during which she is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and loses control of her nervous system, becomes paralyzed, goes deaf and mute, and finally dies. The film ends with Jacqueline's ghost standing on the beach where she used to play as a child, watching herself and her sister frolicking in the sand as little girls.

It's uploading right now! I'll go watch Mystarz LG on TV3. Cheers!

Love Marriage

My absence can be attributed to one sole reason. I've been glued to Mysoju and have been watching 'Love Marriage'. The main characters are so cute, even the calefares, and they are on par with Lee Dong Wook. Just like in 'Love Marriage', I think I want to do something new every day for the rest of my vacation. But for the whole of next week, it'll be a shopping spree for me!

MQH and I embarked on something new yesterday. We collaborated to form 'Stopshoot' and yesterday was Stopshoot's first photoshoot- Photoshoot X. However, the weather wasn't on our side and we were continuously complaining at how humid it was. Before that, we went to the library and I borrowed some books to kill time at home.

LIY and I planned for a picnic with the rest of the PRCS people and it sounds like we're gonna have a ball of time! We've planned the games even and all the games are music oriented.

So let's see, after next week, I hope to try something new everyday. On Monday, it'll be Stopshoot's next photoshoot. So, on Tuesday, perhaps, I'll try to learn how to cycle? Heh.

It feels so much better now, anyway.

Music at PRCS and Haydnites

The long awaited music paper is over! There were some drama before the paper commenced but overall it was fine.

The western music component was quite horrible but the non-western music component was a blast! Papa Leung had gone through the exact same Kabuki extract before. I kept smiling while writing my answers and tried to smile at Papa but Papa avoided my gaze. Even the African music extract sounded similar to what he'd gone through before. The Indian music was easy. I could imagine that dude playing the Tabla and the woman playing the sitar. North Indian music, my kind of thing.

For Haydn's 104, they tested the development section and also the contributions to the symphonic writing.

My Haydnites parents must be psychic or something.

So today marked the last day that I'll be stepping foot to PRCS. Tasha got kinda emo in the bus and I was moved when Papa sent us that touching message. For now, we're left with enjoying good Carnatic and Hindustani prata with lots of gamakas! (Insider joke) Oh how can we forget the kambing soup that we've been craving for since August!

Now... 2 more papers before I can slack for awhile.

Spongey Spongey.

Paganini in Singapore! Minyee is all geared up to watch that concert! How can we not love Paganini's works.

I managed to study all except for Iraq kuwait. Apparently, I can't stop laughing to myself everytime I come across the phrase 'Bubiyan Island'. At 9pm, I'm going to start on Haydn's string quartets and finish world music today and tomorrow morning.

I bought a rockstar bangle from F21.com and I don't feel guilty at all. :)

I feel like a sponge now.

Nov. 1st, 2008

P&P co.

I got pretty irritated with the popping sound that came with every message received from the Facebook instant messaging system. Then somehow, Joel and I created P&P co. P&P simply means pee and poo. How commercial.

Thanks to the nice weather this morning, I woke up at 10am today, just enough time to get ready to meet the Haydnites. We got chased away by the Macdonalds at Tamp East CC since there was some birthday party. In the end, we studied at the TMart Macdonalds. Ariston left early because he had to meet his date. His mum. Our concentration level kinda died down and we started planning for post O Level activities. I'm so envious of Tasha and Liy and Elaine 'cause they have prom.

So here's what's going to happen.

11 Nov- HSM3 with Liy,Tasha,Elaine and shopping.
12 Nov- Shopping trip with Hanna, Azryl and Razeef.
13 Nov- Class Chalet
14 Nov-Full dress rehearsal
15 Nov- Concert

Ira and I are going for some thrift shopping! How interesting.

Till now, I'm still contemplating with the idea of...

Now, I've got some serious studying to do. Let's begin with social studies, shall we?

Thanks Liy for the donuts!

Alive, Still

4 more papers down, which leaves me with 5 more to go.
Next week will be papers that require me to memorise, memorise and memorise. Social studies, followed by Music (oh Haydn!) and then, Malay Paper 1 and 2.

Tomorrow, half of the Haydnites will be meeting up to study music at Macdonalds to study Music. Anyway, welcome to the club Ariston! In any case, I made Ariston confess his love for Haydn by saying, "I Love Haydn".

This week was amazing, especially the part where Mr Thia called me! Hahaa, okay I sound totally obsessed with him...

Anyway, Dingping and I was discussing about what we should do after O Levels when I suddenly imagine him working at Macdonalds and going, "Hi Welcome to Macdonalds!" and asking the customer if he/she wants to upsize the meal with an ahbeng accent. Well, let's just say Macdonalds are not meant for him and You Jie. Like OMG Youjie doesn't want to work. Hmm.. Afterall, he has to teleport back to New Zealand to buy all the pens and take care of the sheeps (Baaaaaa.)

I can't get to sleep easily now. Everytime I close my eyes, I can see myself writing formulas. For instance, the day before the Physics paper, I saw myself writing, "P=IV". When I told Adib about it, he replied, "I see myself drawing lines everyday too." Freaky.

12 more days to go.
#1. Class chalet.
#2. Shopping outing with Hanna on 12 nov! :)

Lovelockdown

Still alive! How great is that? Okay, perhaps not that amazing.
Mugging kick starts today (again!)

4 papers for this week, followed by a mugging session with the haydnites this saturday (welcome to the club ariston!) and then 4 more papers and then a long break and then 1 pathetic 1 hour science MCQ paper and.

I'LL BE LIBERATED

Oct. 26th, 2008

I am (unfortunately) still alive

Hello everyone!

Nope, no interesting updates today. Well, I'm just going to rant and you can choose not to read :)

Shopping List.

1. A hat.
Because it's spotted at Hermes and Emanuel Ungaro for Spring 2009.
.

2. White suede shoes.
In the style of Yohji Yamamoto's spring 2009.

I had a discussion with Justin yesterday who wanted Pedro's casual shoes. Then i realised that most of my footwear is Brazilliano Praias. So, time for a change. (SAY : WE NEED CHANGE like Obama)

3. Some staple t-shirts in various colours.
Must buy purple,

4. Tops with cute prints.

5. Graphic tees.

6. Gladiator sandals that are on sale at Century Square
Because they go with anything (okay except jeans) and they are on sale

7. Rings!
Because I have an obsession with rings now.

Plus, I have to get a few birthday presents, gobble donuts from Donut Factory, stride around the streets of Orchard road with mirth, browse through magazines at Kinokuniya, photo shoots, buy diamentes to stick on my camera and iPod (again), buy a cello and give myself an extreme makeover, watch Quantum of Solace and HSM3 and twilight. LOL.

Judging by my shopping list, I don't think my POSB can take it. I really need to earn some money by giving piano lessons. :)

I will be moving to wordpress after my O's end. I can't wait because I have Adib gave me such a cool domain name.

Om Shanti Om's going to air on TV2, a Malaysian channel. I'm so gonna watch it for the third time or is it the fourth.

I was not a fashion victim today! I wore an oversized slogan tee that Adib got me from Bangkok which read "Hello Everybody Out There Tonight" and paired it with checkered shorts and Havaianas and a newsboy cap. I tucked in my shirt to avoid looking sloppy. Then I realised that I looked geeky and so, I put on my mugger specs.

I bought 13 donuts today. 6 for Adib and 3 for me. I know, I'm such a donut freak and I'm so gonna grow horizontally. But heck.

OMG. WHEN IS O LEVELS GOING TO END?

I rant alot. Right?

Oct. 25th, 2008

The need to rant

I need to rant. Badly.

For the record, I've not splurged on anything for about a month now and the feeling is rather weird. I am so broke that I have to ask my mother to pay for November's issue of Elle magazine for me. I flared up at NTUC today just because some baroque piece (definitely Bach's) was on repeat. It went on and on and on so I got frustrated. I was having a bad fringe day and I couldn't be bothered to straighten it because I was glued to the TV, watching Bhool Bulaiya on Vasantham. Initially, I wanted to wear a cap to hide my fringe but I ditched the idea because caps don't match with Fred Perry and 3/4 pants and havaianas. I didn't even carry a bag with me. I just stuffed my phone inside my pocket, with my patrick the starfish handphone doll sticking out. I was a fashion victim today.

My books are in my room and currently, I'm watching some ghost story with my mother. Some random indonesian channel (going back to my roots lol)

Adib's coming over tomorrow and I can grab his iPhone and play critter's crunch. Okay, I'll study tomorrow. Yes, yes, I will.

Screw today's fashion faux pas.

(no subject)

Must buy shutter shades since I can't go to Kanye West's glow in the dark concert.

Must buy metal studded bracelet ala a rockstar because I can't go A7X's concert.

Must earn money.

In any case, I'd like to earn some money this holidays by giving piano lessons at extremely low rates. Please contact me for details :)

It Won't Be Soon Before Long

So O's kicked start this week.

Pimple outburst + Low batt handphone + Nescafe + Unkempt hair + Geeky Specs + Air con + Lights + Books + Cluster Papers + Freezing Cold Shower+ Sleeping late + Waking up at 2 am + More Nescafe + No Internet + iPod + 987FM + Symphony 92.4 + Pencil Lead + Long Ruler + Eraser Dust + Repeating "Keep Calm And Carry On" + studying with SNZU + singing random old malay songs with ira + donuts with the haydnites + planning post-exams activities + thinking whether I should...or not + flaring up easily = Welcome to my mugger world.

So what did I study today?

Chemistry: Chapter 11-22
Chemistry TYS
Re-did Section C of Chemistry cluster papers
2007 Chem Paper
A Maths: Paper 1 of some random secondary school

Apparently, SNZU forgot to come over to my house this morning to borrow my set of answer sheet for the whole stack of science cluster papers. So, she'll be here in any minute.

After O's To Do List
1. Burn/Donate/Give all my secondary school books.
2. Donate/Throw last season clothes and shoes.
3. Earn money
4. Buy cello
5. Jam
6. Watch tonnes of korean dramas, Hindi movies, Gossip girl, CSI, random movies like 'Shine' and 'Tropic thunder'.
7. Flea market shopping
8. Serious shopping.
9. Even more shopping.
10. Paint room.
11. WWW

15. Long cam-whoring sessions

I am listening to the first movement of 104 as I'm typing this. I've come up with a name for Ze Musicians-Haydnites (Maeve, Minyee, Liy, Tasha, JY,Elaine).  I officially have no life.

Gonna watch The Exorcist: The Beginning and scare the shit out of me so I'll be to terrified to sleep and so I can mug and so whatever.

Anyway, I think that metalloids and amphoteric oxides are bisexual.

Oct. 17th, 2008

I must be mad.

Hello there.

I realise that I've been very much absent from the real world. My life currently revolves around books, assesment books, cluster papers, highlighters, my blinged calculator, Sonata in F, Jazzy and Nescafe (god bless whoever who created Nescafe). I am very much the same apart from the fact that I flare up very easily now. I have a major pimple breakout now and I don't care. My tension headache is back once more and it's worst than before. Initially, I wanted to give myself a treat today by watching an episode of 'Gossip Girl' online. Then, mediavideo decided to die on me so I've totally chucked that idea aside.

So for this week, MN and I studied for about 6 hours in the library and I got furious in the library because some primary school kids made so much noise. Also, I mugged with SNZU at the airport for another 6 hours. Apparently, the cosmetics shop at the airport sells original Victoria Secret stuffs. I couldn't help but to get myself a lipgloss. Damn it tastes wonderful.

MN and I have found happiness in donuts. Just the other day, we bought 2 donuts as a treat 'cause we managed to memorise the whole stack of Haydn stuffs. Music can't seem to cure my tension headache anymore. I think it's because every time I hear Bach's music, I'll be reminded of all the characteristics of Baroque music. Even Chopin's nocturnes give me stress now. Don't even talk about Czerny.

Today's date is 17 October. Seemed like yesterday that it was my birthday. The Vienna boys are gonna be in Singapore according to MN and will be performing on 19 Oct. Avenged Sevenfold in Singapore. Kanye West in Singapore. Shah Rukh Khan was in Singapore too. Yay, perfect timing.

This post seems long, doesn't it? I realised that it has been ages since I wrote something as long as this.

Next week will be a jam-packed week with Chemistry as the first written paper. The week will end with 2 Maths papers.

Anyway, practical was kinda crappy. The physics practical was fine but Chemistry was kind of bullshit.

Time check now is 11.15pm. I've completed Chemistry chapters 1-11 and 2 A Maths Paper 1 and re-read Haydn's stuffs for today.

Anyway (again), I'm very very very poor now. Those of you who are interested to learn the piano, please contact me. Or for those of you who are taking your piano practical exams and need help, please contact me also. I'll charge you guys reasonably.

Let's go, let's go, let's go. 11 november.
KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON.
(You can help reduce my strain by buying me good old black kopi!)
